Using games, guided meditations, breathing practise, crafts, amongst many other child-friendly techniques, your child will learn strategies to enable them to practise mindfulness and meditation independently. They will also be coached through their emotions using CBT techniques. This will include gaining a greater understanding of why they feel like they do. They will also be taught how to communicate their feelings in a positive way and how to manage difficulties when they arise. Each session is tailored to the individual's needs and can be attended unaccompanied or with a parent or carer, again dependent on circumstances. These sessions can act as an introduction to mindfulness for your child and family, or can alternatively focus on a particular issue that may be challenging. All children benefit from these sessions but they can be especially beneficial for children that struggle with anxiety, sleep, anger, grief, self esteem and other 'big' feelings. Sessions can be held at my premises or in the comfort of your own home. I teach children of all ages, toddlers to teenagers.
